BIESSE R346 Point-to-point drill with CNC routing
This has a working field of up to 48” x 120” with the possibility to drill a hole anywhere on the face of the panel. The usual drilling program is based upon the 32 mm drilling system whereby the holes on the x-axis and y-axis are measured in multiples of 32 mm. This is done to more easily facilitate the design of the horizontal elements, i.e. shelves, tops, and bottoms that should be drilled with holes spaced apart in multiples of 32 mm. There are exceptions to this but to remain in the “32 mm system” goes a long way to ensure accuracy. This machine will side drill all four sides on a panel up to 42” x 118” in size. The routers can utilize either right or left-handed tooling. There is a built-in tool crib to enable programmed machine-driven tool changeovers as different profiles come into play rather than stopping the machine to change tooling by hand. Typically a job of 0-200 pieces is most efficient for this type of machine.
